So it has been a while since I have posted anything on here so let me go all the way on this one.  A few weeks back we did a big system for our boy Mike who is too busy to even stop by and say hello but he has some banging systems in his cars  He brought me his 1941 chevy coupe and we just added so many things starting from a navigation system, two amps, subwoofer, center console and so much more. First we started off with the dynamat, we took apart the whole car and laid the Dynamat all over the car.  In some areas of the car we even double layered it.  We then got Victor, our custom guy to start off doing a design for the rear deck.  We knew the colors we wanted to go for right away but the ideas of incorporating the flames all over the interior came later in the process.  We put the JL Audio c5-650x in the rear deck with the custom flames around them.  Then we built some kick panels (with wood and no fiberglass) and also kept the purple and grey color scheme along with it.  We put the JL Audio zr-650 for those. Man they just sounded awesome. The main thing that Mike wanted was a center console where he had his bass, radio, gear shifter, and gauges to be visible.  It was a lot of work the get the design and idea for the project straightened out but we got it down pretty good.  We put a little flame designs into the vinyl and started off with the Alpine INA-W900bt and went down from there and we went with the 8W7 for the bass.  For the amps in the car we used the JL Audio hd600/4 for the highs and the hd750/1 for the bass.  We did add a kinetik battery to the vehicle just in case.  We also did the viper pager alarm with the door poppers since he did not have any door handles.  If anyone has any questions about this system you guys can email me at rob@houstoncarstereo.com or you can just pick up the phone and call us at (713) 266-6225.  Mike, again I really appreciate it bro.  Here are some pics of the finish product…

It has been a busy couple of weeks for us.  We have a few big projects going on right now and luckily we just finished one of them and it went great.  We have also been focusing much on JL Audio HD amp sales ever since the new HD1200/1 has been released.  One of the projects we completed was a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible.  To tell you the truth it was hell getting this car to sound right.  Since it is a convertible it wasn’t has easy as the coupe to have the right amount of bass to balance with the fronts and rears. but we got the jobs done.  We did a full makeover to this one.  We changed the radio to a Kenwood Excelon DNX9980 HD and put the Metra Camaro kit to make it fit and look right.  We changed the front speakers and put in the HERTZ HSK165 XL in the front and for the rear we did the HERTZ HL70 since we did not want to cut.  Unlike the coupe which has 6 x 9′s in the rear this vehicle only has a 4-inch space and cutting was not an option for us at this point.  For power we went with the Jl Audio HD600/4 for the highs and the JL Audio HD1200/1 for the bass.  The decision which was hard to make was what to put in regards to bass.  We ended up choosing the JL Audio 10W6 subwoofers.  Before we did that we tried the JL Audio 13tw5 subs and build a custom box that was faced into the vehicle but it did not turn out what we expected and that is when we changed it to the 10w6′s.  We built a custom box for it and put the SS logo in the middle and called it a day.  Of course we put the 0 gauge JL Audio wiring for the power and used the blue JL Audio RCA’s in case anyone was wondering.  Here are a few pictures of the completed job.

Lamborghini Audio System

In the last few weeks we have been receiving orders to add Vehicle In Motion and Back-up cameras to the new Porsche Panamera.  Here are a few pics from last week.

This is one of the newest Lamborghini’s we finished.  In this Murcielago we changed out the front speakers, custom built a box for an 8 inch Jl Audio subwofer, changed the radio and added a 4-channel amplifier.  We did the Kenwood headunit with the built in navigation and the Focal Polyglass component system in the front.  For the subwoofer we went with the JL Audio 8w3.  Finally, for the amp we chose a 4-channel JL Audio XD400/4.  Here are a few pics of the completed job.

This is a 2009 Chrysler 300c SRT that we did a few days ago.  He did not want to take up all the space in the trunk so we fiber glassed a box to fit one 10w6 on each side of his trunk.

We recently finished a system in a 2009 M3.  We ordered the Jl Audio stealth box which has 2 13inch slim sub-woofers in it.  Not only does this box sound really good but it looks smooth also.  It has the JL logo in the middle and its a statement.

This is a system we did for one of our old customers names David.  It has been a while since we seen this vehicle just even for a tweak but I just can’t ever get over how good the final product looks.  This picture just doesn’t describe it enough.  It’s always a good feeling to look back at what you did in the past and be proud of it.

These are the brand new Hertz Mille series components.  Unlike many of the component sets, each of the separate entities come in their own box and that’s why you see three different boxes but they all create one set.  These blow out most of the components out there today!
